Daniel Razon or Kuya Daniel as he is fondly known is a multi-awarded broadcast journalist and philanthropist. He is a visionary who has sincere passion for helping others and has pioneered creative campaigns for public service.

His exceptional voice, charming looks and quick wit were his tickets to a successful career in the broadcast industry. He has worked with the country’s radio and television network giants. These include ABS-CBN, where he anchored several news programs and GMA-7, as a mainstay of its morning show, “Unang Hirit.” Kuya Daniel also hosted “Dakila Ka, Pinoy” and “Pandayan ni Mang Pandoy” in NBN Channel 4.

At DZMM he anchored “Gising Pilipinas”, “DZMM Network News”, “Pasada 630″, “Compañero y Compañera”, “Kung May Relos, May Razon”, “Usapang de Campanilla” and “Razon Sa Likod ng mga Balita”.

Today he is the chairman and CEO of Breakthrough and Milestones Productions International (BMPI) Inc., UNTV’s content-provider. Through UNTV, he has launched several key public service projects such as free medication, free rides and free college education. Most notable of these ventures is his Isang Araw Lang (Even for a Day) campaign for changing the world with one simple act of kindness at a time.

Recognizing that the competitive culture of journalism often results in compromising human lives for the sake of a scoop or an exclusive story, Kuya Daniel came up with the groundbreaking concept of Tulong Muna Bago Balita (Recue First, Report Later). Several teams of journalists were trained in search and rescue operations to enable them to save lives when covering life and death situations.

Seven years after the launch of UNTV, Kuya Daniel is bringing back the glory days of radio with the launching of UNTV Radio La Verdad 1350.

Kuya Daniel has received countless recognition for his professional achievements and philantropy. Most recent was his historical win as the first ever ENPRESS Golden Screen TV award for Outstanding News Presenter of 2011 and the 2011 Outstanding Philippine Leadership Excellence Award in Philanthropy (TOPLEAP) for Journalism.

Unmindful of the praises that people give him for his numerous works, Kuya Daniel remains the same humble man who refuses to take credit for himself and instead attributes it to the Almighty God.
